![]() HORSEMASTERSHIP This program is for children 10 and older who are looking for a summer camp experience where they can eat, breathe and sleep horses.
EQUESTRIAN CAMPS: For those campers who want a camp focused only on horses and riding, we will offer one Equestrian Camp for Summer 2009. June 14th to June 19th (Sunday through Friday) Equestrian Camp is a goal-oriented program giving campers a solid resource of horse knowledge on which they can earn levels of achievement through the Certified Horseman's Association. Campers will spend their mornings in small group English riding lessons, as well as playing horse oriented games and challenges, and taking un-mounted lessons. Other activities may include trail rides, a barn sleep over and lots of vaulting (gymnastics on horseback). Afternoons during Equestrian Camp will start with a rest period and a break at the pool, and then right back to the barn. Afternoon activities will include horse presentations, more games and challenges, and un-mounted lessons. The chance to specialize in a specific horse area will also be available. Areas of specialized interest may include driving, natural horsemanship, vaulting, course building, showing, horse care, polo and other ideas generated by the campers. The evenings will find the campers once again at the arena in riding lessons and working on achieving their CHA levels and ribbons. The week will end with campers having an opportunity to ride for their parents should they choose. For more details, click on the links below: |
